Hormonal coil
The hormonal coil is a small T-shaped plastic device that sits in your womb and releases the progestogen hormone. The hormonal coil is one of the most effective methods of contraception and one of the longest lasting. There are several types available, that last for different lengths of time and release hormones at slightly different rates.
To get the coil fitted, speak to your GP or a sexual health clinic
